Agile Occupational Medicine
As a 1099 orthopedic surgeon, you will evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment/prevention plans for patients with work-related injuries. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists and occupational medicine physicians, and engage with employers in active case management to facilitate patient recovery and return to work.
Key Responsibilities
- • Examining patients to expertly diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or other musculoskeletal problems from work-related injuries.
- • Develop individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, medications, and surgical interventions when necessary.
- • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and medical doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- • Treat fractures and musculoskeletal conditions through injections, electrodiagnostic, and other therapeutic interventions.
- • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- • Educate patients about their conditions and the rehabilitation process.
- • Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR.
Required
- • Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree and an unrestricted California medical license
- • Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice
- • Board certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- • Active DEA registration required
- • Current BLS and AED certification required
- • Current medical malpractice insurance coverage
- • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
- • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- • ACLS certification preferred
- • Background in occupational medicine, orthopedics, or outpatient setting is preferred.

Position Summary
As a 1099 orthopedic surgeon, you will be responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment/prevention plan for patients with work related injuries. You will work in a team environment with physical therapists, chiro, acupuncture among other clinical staff under the referral of the occupational medicine physician. You’ll also collaborate with employers in active case management.
