Emergency Pediatrician

This role involves assessment, work-up, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients presenting to the emergency department, with potential inpatient admission for definitive care. Required

The Division of Emergency Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include assessment, work-up, diagnosis, and treatment for patients in the pediatric age group presenting to the emergency department; may include inpatient admission for definitive care. Additional responsibilities include participation in the Emergency Medicine Division’s teaching, research, advocacy and administrative activities.

Qualified candidates will have completed an ACGME or AOA accredited Residency in Pediatrics. Current Board certification in Pediatrics or board eligible. Board certification must be achieved within seven (7) years of completion of training and must be continuously maintained. Applicant must provide documentation of provision of pediatrics services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous year (waived for applicants who completed training within the previous year).

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $227,272 - $270,300.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
