The physician will join a dedicated team providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care at UNC Rex Hospital. The role involves working full-time hospitalist shifts, collaborating with midwives, and managing 30-40 deliveries per month with access to advanced technology and NICU support.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care
- • Work full time position of (7) 24 hr or (14) 12 hr shifts within a (28) day period
- • Collaborate with CNMs during shifts to support service
- • Manage approximately 30-40 deliveries per month
- • Utilize Da Vinci robotics available at UNC Rex Hospital
- • Work within a hospital setting with a 21 Bed Level 4 NICU (NC standards) and Level 3 NICU (AAP standards)
- • Coordinate care with 24/7 neonatology support including neonatologists and NNP in house
- • Use EPIC (EHR) with AI Scribe capabilities for documentation
- • Participate in a collaborative and collegial team environment
Required
- • Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
- • Board Certified OBGYN
- • DEA license
- • ACLS certification
- • MD license
- • Proficient communication skills in English
- • North Carolina Medical License
- • BLS certification

UNC Rex OB Hospitalist invites you to become part of our dynamic, expanding group serving the Triangle community. Here, you will join a dedicated team of physicians and midwives providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care at our UNC Rex (Raleigh) location. The incoming physician will gain colleague support from established physicians and midwives, great clinical support, a welcoming community, and a supportive schedule for work/life balance.
Practice Details
- Established group of 7 OB/GYNs, 7 CNMs, and 1 WHNP
- Full time position of (7) 24 hr or (14) 12 hr shifts within a (28) day period
- Shifts consist of (2) providers: 1 MD/DO and 1 CNM to support service
- Hospitalist can expect 30-40 deliveries per month
- Da Vinci robotics available at UNC Rex (Raleigh) Hospital
- 21 Bed Level 4 NICU by North Carolina standards, Level 3 NICU by American Academy of Pediatrics
- NICU is 27 weeks and up
- 24/7 Neonatology - Neonatologists onsite during the day and on call at night. NNP in house 24/7
- EPIC (EHR) w/ AI Scribe capabilities to utilize during documentation
- Collaborative and collegial team welcoming of experienced and new providers

- Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.
High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in OBGYN.
