Cardiologist - Associate Medical Director, JMG

The role involves planning, diagnostic development, management, and evaluation of medical services at the clinic. The cardiologist provides continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and healthcare services to outpatients, primarily in office practice with some hospital work. The practice includes general, interventional, and electrophysiology cardiology at multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the planning, diagnostic development, management and evaluation of medical/services at the clinic/center of responsibility.
  • Provides and maintains JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS outpatients.
  • Cardiology clinic with average daily patient volume of 20-22 in the clinic.
  • General cardiology patients. Primarily in office practice (aprox 3.5 days weekly) and (aprox 1 day weekly) in hospital.
  • Practice includes general, interventional and EP at each site.

Required
  • Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.
  • Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.
  • Valid Florida Medical License.
  • DEA and board certification or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease are required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
Preferred
  • Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Education

Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.

License/Certification
