About the Role

At Bliss Health, you will be part of a dedicated team that meets with patients and designs care plans that reflect their personalized needs. You will play a vital role in helping patients gain easy access to high-quality, compassionate care to address their chronic pain using a biopsychosocial model and while collaborating with nurses, other doctors and our operations team.

Role responsibilities:

As a clinician at Bliss Health, you will be expected to:

• Provide telemedicine services to people who suffer from chronic pain 
• Communicate with patients in an encouraging and empathetic tone with a particular emphasis on listening and making patients feel heard
• Evaluate and design non-opioid based treatment plans and document recommendations in an EHR (Elation Health) using best practice evidence-based medicine
• Be responsive to clinical concerns and questions (generally within 24 hours) and refer non-clinical matters to the Operations team
• Collaborate with nursing staff to enable chronic disease management and remote patient monitoring services
• Maintain updated patient charts, preferably in real time
• Escalate non-clinical patient related matters to the Operations team
• Escalate complicated medical scenarios to medical co-directors as appropriate and report all medical emergencies to medical co-directors
• Consult with your team physician lead and peers in regular 1:1 and group consultation
• Maintain all appropriate licensures and certifications for the states in which you are seeing patients.

• Able to dedicate 10-40 hours total across 2-5 days per week. Flexible scheduling is allowed and encouraged, however the primary commitment is during regular business hours with some patient communication requiring communication outside of these set hours as well
• Board certified MD or DO, ideally in internal medicine or family medicine although specialists are welcome to apply (neurology, anesthesia, physical medicine and rehabilitation, palliative care, psychiatry)
• Unrestricted license in 1 or more of the States we practice in (strong preference for FL, GA, NC, CA )
• We welcome physicians who have received a Letter of Qualification through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact from a State of Principal License (SPL)
• Excellent time management skills
• Comfortable using technology to deliver care virtually
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a part-time or full-time basis
• DEA licenses are not required
• Familiarity with Elation Health EHR is a plus
