Fred Hutch
The role involves laboratory-based research focused on developing novel interventions for graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and immune reconstitution post-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The candidate will engage in transplant immunology, computational modeling of T cell clonality, and microbiome science, fostering collaboration in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and bone marrow transplantation therapies for hematological malignancies.
Key Responsibilities
- • Engage in laboratory-based research focused on developing novel interventions for graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and immune reconstitution post-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
- • Foster an environment of collaboration and productivity in the field of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and bone marrow transplantation therapies for hematological malignancies.
- • Perform primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch.
- • Use existing laboratory space from a senior faculty member at Fred Hutch.
Required
- • MD (or foreign equivalent)
- • Board certification in hematology and/or medical oncology
- • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington
- • Successful NIH K08 or R01 level funding
- • Expertise in transplant immunology, computational modeling of T cell clonality, and microbiome science

The successful candidate will have expertise in transplant immunology, computational modeling of T cell clonality, and microbiome science and be engaged in laboratory-based research focused on developing novel interventions for graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and immune reconstitution post-hematopoetic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Successful NIH K08 or R01 level funding is required. The selected individual will foster an environment of collaboration and productivity in the field of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and bone marrow transplantation therapies for hematological malignancies.
Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch. The role does not include an independent laboratory space in which to conduct research but will have the use of an existing laboratory space from a senior faculty member at Fred Hutch.
