The Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery and Abdominal Organ Transplantation in the Department of Surgery at Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California is inviting applicants for the position of Transplant Surgeon at the academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Surgery.
Opportunity Details
- The competitive candidate should possess clinical expertise in liver and kidney transplantation including minimally invasive donor nephrectomy. Ideally, the candidate also has a skillset and interest in living donor liver transplant, pancreas transplant, and there may be an opportunity for HPB, split liver procurement, and pediatric transplantation.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for providing clinical expertise in patient care management, teaching fellows, collaborating in research, and continuing education.
- The position will be primarily based at Keck Hospital of USC and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) and may include supporting services at satellite locations, including coverage of Hepatobiliary Surgery at LA General Medical Center.
- Prospective candidates will have an MD or DO degree, will have completed an ASTS-accredited multi-organ Abdominal Transplantation fellowship, be certified by the American Board of Surgery, be eligible to work in the United States, and be eligible for licensure in the state of California, with current licensure preferred.
