The role involves treating general orthopedic injuries and conditions in an outpatient office setting, with a focus on hand and upper extremity surgery. The surgeon will perform surgeries primarily at a partner-owned Ambulatory Surgical Center and supportive local hospitals, and will contribute to growing the orthopedic practice through community and referral source engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- • Treat general orthopedic injuries and conditions as would present in outpatient office setting
- • Perform surgeries predominantly at partner-owned Ambulatory Surgical Center and supportive local hospitals
- • Optional orthopedic ER call
- • Share/rotate general practice call among the group of physicians
- • Assist in continuing to grow the orthopedic practice including meeting local primary care doctors and other referral sources
Required
- • Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
- • Have or pending completion of a Hand Surgery Fellowship

Well established and growing multi-specialty private (physician-owned) practice in Northern New Jersey is seeking a full-time Orthopaedic Surgeon preferably with fellowship training in Hand & Upper Extremity to join our team.
A successful candidate for this position will be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and will have or pending completion of a Hand Surgery Fellowship. The candidate should also be comfortable treating general orthopedic injuries and conditions as would present in outpatient office setting.
Our providers perform surgeries predominantly at our own partner-owned Ambulatory Surgical Center as well as very supportive local hospitals in the region. Orthopedic ER call is optional for this position and general practice call is shared/rotated among the group of physicians.
We currently have orthopaedic and foot & ankle surgeons who have been in the community for several years, with an overflowing patient population. We would expect the incoming surgeon to assist in continuing to grow our orthopaedic practice. This may include meeting other local primary care docs and/or other referral sources. The practice will provide support in facilitating this growth.

Garden State Pain and Orthopaedics, located in Northern New Jersey, is a 20-minute local drive to Manhattan. We have been serving our community for almost 50 years, and we currently have 5 locations throughout NJ with plans for expansion. Offices equipped with Xray, Ultrasound and DME. In addition to our orthopaedic providers, our talented team also includes 5 Pain Management Physicians, 2 PAs and 1 NP.
