Responsibilities*

The Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate for a Clinical Instructor position. The educational responsibilities for this new pathologist will be to participate in our teaching programs related to residents and fellows rotating at the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS) and in the Pathology Education Series, as requested. Their primary clinical responsibilities will be performed at the VAAAHS. These will consist of pathology related diagnostic services.

Required Qualifications*

Doctor of Medicine degree (or equivalent), American Board of Pathology board certified or board eligible in AP/CP or CP. Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan. Successful completion of a Hematopathology fellowship or the equivalent and have a track record of peer-reviewed publications, clinical excellence, and commitment to education is desirable.

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
