Key Responsibilities
- • Provide hospice physician services in accordance with CMS, state, and hospice regulations
- • Conduct admissions, recertifications, and required face‑to‑face encounters
- • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (RN, social work, spiritual care, case management)
- • Manage pain and symptom control for terminally ill patients
- • Provide guidance on goals of care and advance care planning
- • Communicate with patients, families, attending physicians, and care partners
- • Complete timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- • Support quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
Required
- • MD with active, unrestricted Washington State medical license
- • Board‑certified or board‑eligible (Hospice & Palliative Medicine preferred)
- • Experience in hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, or internal medicine
- • DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances
- • Strong communication and collaboration skills
- • Commitment to high‑quality, compassionate, patient‑centered care
