The Clinician–Scientist provides physician-level clinical science expertise in the design, execution, analysis, and reporting of multicenter clinical trials and clinical research programs. This role integrates advanced medical knowledge with clinical research methodology to support industry-sponsored and federally funded cardiovascular-metabolic-renal clinical studies.
Key Responsibilities
- • Contribute clinical and scientific expertise to the design and implementation of clinical trials, including protocol development, endpoint selection, and safety/efficacy evaluation (30%)
- • Participate as an active member of project teams for industry-sponsored and federally funded cardiovascular clinical studies (20%)
- • Contribute to clinical research data interpretation, manuscript preparation, and scientific presentations at major scientific meetings (15%)
- • Participate in medical and scientific writing including clinical trial protocols, study reports, abstracts, and peer-reviewed manuscripts (15%)
- • Serve on or collaborate with trial committees including Steering Committees, Data Monitoring Committees, Adjudication Committees, and Endpoint Committees (10%)
- • Provide clinical content expertise to ensure scientific integrity and regulatory compliance across clinical research activities (10%)
Required
- • MD or DO degree in Medicine or a related medical field
- • Completion of an accredited clinical residency program
- • Board-certified or board-eligible in a medical specialty
- • Minimum 2 years of clinical research experience
- • Demonstrated scholarly activity in clinical research including peer-reviewed publications
Preferred
- • Advanced training in clinical trial design or clinical epidemiology
- • Experience with multicenter cardiovascular clinical trials
- • Experience serving on clinical trial committees or core labs

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$90,000 to $92,700
