As an Orthopedic Surgeon for Sports Medicine, you will work with a musculoskeletal team providing care at American Fork Hospital and Specialty Clinic, managing a mix of OR and in-office orthopedic surgical patients. The role includes clinic and surgical days, call responsibilities for level 3 trauma patients, and some local community travel in Utah County.
Key Responsibilities
- • Practice at the American Fork Hospital & American Fork Specialty Clinic
- • Provide care to orthopedic surgical patients both in the OR and in-office
- • Work 2 days per week in clinic and 2 days in OR surgical time
- • Fulfill some patient-preferred hours with local community travel requirements in Utah County
- • Participate in Orthopedic 1 and 6 call for level 3 trauma patients with compensation for call requirement
- • Potential to participate in local ASC
Required
- • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree; or equivalent if education is completed outside the United States
- • Completion of graduate fellowship medical education training program in Orthopedic Surgery with a CAQ board certification in Sports Medicine
- • Graduate education must be obtained through an ACGME or AOA accredited institution
- • ABMS or equivalent AOA Board Certification in the specialty(s) or subspecialty(s) of practice
- • Fellowship in Orthopedics Sports Medicine and completion of CAQ
- • Active Medical Licensure, or in process of obtaining licensure, is required in the state in which physician will practice
- • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- • DEA Registration schedules II-V
- • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
- • Not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time
