The Company Doctor is responsible for providing high-quality medical care and managing workplace health programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves clinical treatment, occupational safety oversight, and serving as a trusted medical advisor to leadership and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide on-site medical consultations, treatments, and first-aid for employees.
- • Manage acute illnesses and injuries occurring during work hours.
- • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify health hazards.
- • Design and implement programs to prevent work-related diseases and injuries.
- • Perform or oversee pre-employment, annual, and return-to-work physical exams to ensure employees are fit for their specific roles.
- • Launch wellness initiatives, such as vaccination drives, mental health awareness campaigns, and seminars on nutrition or ergonomics.
- • Oversee medical leaves and disability claims.
- • Coordinate with external hospitals or specialists for employees requiring advanced care.
- • Ensure the company meets all national health and safety regulations (e.g., OSH standards).
- • Maintain accurate, confidential Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- • Lead the company’s medical emergency team, ensuring first-aid kits are stocked and staff are trained in basic life support (CPR).
