Hospitalist - Internal Medicine - Casual

Provide comprehensive inpatient care as the attending physician for medical inpatients overnight, coordinating with ICU, emergency medicine, and specialty services. Utilize the Excellian electronic health record system to review patient history, evaluate and interpret data, and make decisions regarding patient care while offering consultation and procedural care within scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the attending physician for medical inpatients overnight
  • Reviews patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
  • Coordinate with ICU, emergency medicine, and specialty services
  • Provide consultation and procedural care within your scope
  • Use Excellian, one of the most comprehensive electronic health record systems in the country.
Required
  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA in Internal Medicine required.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.
  • ACLS/BLS - required

  • Team Composition: Part of a large hospitalist 80+ team with 6 nocturnists and 8+ APPs

Pay Range

Pay Range: $350,100 to $366,400 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
