MD/DO uses current evidence-based knowledge and skills to perform physical assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage care for acute and chronically ill and injured patients. The practitioner monitors and evaluates the plan of care, revising as needed or initiating consultations/referrals, providing care for pediatric through geriatric populations.
Key Responsibilities
- • Make sound, professional physical assessment/examinations
- • Develop treatment/plans of care and dispositions considering physiologic, psychological, socioeconomic, cultural factors
- • Monitor and evaluate the plan of care and make revisions as needed
- • Initiate consultations/referrals when appropriate
- • Provide patient care for pediatric through geriatric population
Required
- • Medical Degree
- • Board Certified
- • BLS Certified
- • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements
