Mercor
Medical Experts design realistic clinical scenarios, evaluate AI model outputs against evidence-based standards, and provide feedback to improve AI reasoning in patient care. The role is asynchronous and remote, allowing flexible hours while contributing to frontier AI model training in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- • Design clinically realistic prompts and scenarios drawn from your specialty (diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, risk stratification, guideline concordance)
- • Write "golden" reference responses at attending-level quality
- • Grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics
- • Provide written feedback the research team uses to improve model behavior
- • Participate in weekly office hours and specialty calibration sessions
Required
- • MD / DO / RN practicing in the United States or Canada
- • Actively practicing, board-certified or board-eligible in one of the listed specialties
- • Comfortable reading literature and translating evidence into structured feedback
- • 6+ hours per week of availability, flexible schedule

As a Medical Expert, you'll design realistic clinical scenarios, evaluate model outputs against evidence-based standards, and help shape how the next generation of AI reasons about patient care. Work is asynchronous and remote — you set your own hours.
What You'll Do

Who You Are

Rates
Rates are set per specialty and seniority tier, benchmarked to Mercor. Expect $150–$300/hr payable depending on specialty and level of training. Your specific rate will be confirmed in your offer.
Engagement
Remote, 100% asynchronous
20 hrs/wk default (can be raised after onboarding based on demand)
Paid weekly via Mercor
Expected start: Saturday 4/25/2026
Duration: ongoing, reviewed monthly
