This role involves collaborating with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners to provide virtual psychiatric support for members undergoing addiction recovery. The psychiatrist will review member records, make prescribing decisions, provide medication-related counseling, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- • Collaborate with PMHNPs licensed in states where Affect operates, holding monthly or quarterly meetings based on state regulations
- • Review member records, make prescribing decisions, and provide medication-related counseling
- • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and Affect's security standards to protect member confidentiality
- • Fulfill state-specific collaboration requirements
- • Conduct provider evaluations and maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EMR system
Required
- • Active and verifiable state medical license(s) in psychiatry
- • Medicaid enrollment within the state(s) of contract
- • Minimum 2+ years of licensed experience, preferably in the field of substance use disorder treatment
- • High comfort level with technology, including EMRs and telehealth platforms
- • Strong empathy and passion for supporting members in recovery
