Required
- • MD/DO/MBBS or equivalent degree
- • Eligible for or active California medical license
- • Board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation for Interventional Pulmonary ranges from $380,000 - $450,000. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan , which provides eligibility for additional compensation.

Position Description
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking a full-time Interventional Pulmonologist for appointment in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series and/or Professor of Clinical Medicine series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, commensurate with experience.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Inpatient and outpatient clinical care at UC Irvine Medical Center (Orange), UC Irvine Hospital (Irvine), and affiliated community clinics
- Teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students
- Participation in scholarly, clinical, and/or research activities
- Service to the University and broader community
- Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service. Excellent teaching is essential criteria for appointment in this series.
- Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.
- MD/DO/MBBS or equivalent degree
- Eligible for or active California medical license
- Board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
