The Collaborating Psychiatrist provides clinical collaboration and oversight to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners in Georgia, focusing on chart review, protocol oversight, and clinical consultation. Key Responsibilities
- • Enter into and maintain a Collaborative Practice Agreement / Nurse Protocol Agreement with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
- • Conduct periodic chart reviews and co-sign documentation as required by Georgia regulations.
- • Review and sign off on medication management and prescribing documentation when applicable.
- • Be available for clinical consultation regarding patient care and treatment planning.
- • Provide general oversight and feedback to ensure high standards of psychiatric care.
- • Participate in periodic protocol review and quality assurance activities as required by state guidelines.
Required
- • MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry
- • Active and unrestricted Georgia medical license
- • Ability to enter into collaborative agreements with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners under Georgia law
- • Interest in supporting team-based psychiatric care
Preferred
- • DEA registration preferred
- • Prior experience working with NPs or in collaborative care settings preferred

Position Overview

Responsibilities

Qualifications
