Chief Medical Officer

The Chief Medical Officer will lead the medical team across all departments, ensuring high-quality care and operational efficiency while providing direct patient care as a Primary Care Provider. This role involves overseeing physicians and mid-level providers in primary care, ER, and inpatient settings, and shaping innovative care models to improve rural healthcare access and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee physicians and mid-level providers in primary care, ER, and inpatient settings
  • Shape a new care model that strengthens healthcare access and sustainability for the rural community
  • Lead clinical policies, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety efforts
  • Provide direct patient care as a Primary Care Provider
Required
  • MD/DO (Board-Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine)
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Active or eligible for Colorado medical license
  • ATLS, BLS, PALS, and ACLS required (or willing to obtain upon hire)
  • Passionate about rural healthcare, provider mentorship, and long-term system improvement
Preferred
  • Leadership or administrative experience preferred

Who We’re Looking For:

MD/DO (Board-Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine)
