Physician, Internal Medicine Core Faculty (Modesto, CA)
Serve as core faculty for a recently accredited Internal Medicine residency program, combining outpatient Internal Medicine practice with resident teaching. Participate in faculty development and maintain academic achievements while supporting resident continuity clinic operations. Inpatient work is available for those interested.
Key Responsibilities
- • Serve as core faculty for recently accredited IM residency program
- • Mix of outpatient Internal Medicine and resident teaching
- • Inpatient work available if interested
- • Devote sufficient time to the Residency Program to fulfill supervisory and teaching responsibilities
- • Pursue faculty development at least annually to enhance skills in education, quality improvement and patient safety, physician well-being, and patient care
- • Maintain a working knowledge of the most up-to-date program specific requirements
- • Include ongoing clinical activity
- • Demonstrate ongoing academic achievements in the specialty, including publications, development of educational programs, or conduct of research
- • Assist the site lead with resident continuity clinic operations
- • Core faculty members must be designated by the Program Director
Required
- • Must have and maintain current certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine
- • Be licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
- • Have faculty experience, leadership, organizational, and administrative qualifications
- • Include current licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment
Preferred
- • Addiction Fellowship a plus
- • Demonstrate a strong interest in the education of residents

Position Details
- Starting base salary: $315,000
- Two-year salary guarantee
- Compensation will be a mix of salary and wRVU production after salary guarantee
- Sign-on and loan options
- Position requirement: serve as core faculty for recently accredited IM residency program
