USF College of Nursing
This role involves providing general Obstetrics and Gynecology care including ambulatory care, deliveries, surgery, and complete maternal care, with co-management of patient care alongside Maternal-Fetal Medicine faculty. The position includes responsibilities for teaching, research, service, academic advising, and may involve representing the university or department.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide general Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatory care, deliveries, surgery and complete maternal care.
- • Co-manage patient care with MFM faculty.
- • Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university.
- • Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.
- • Responsible for academic advising and related activities.
- • May represent the university, college/school, or department.
Required
- • Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
- • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
- • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- • Must have completed Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with an interest in teaching and patient care.
- • Must have or be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
- • Great communications skills and ability to work in a team-based environment required.
Preferred
- • For Associate or Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
- • Positive factors for consideration include but are not limited to excellent record of clinical care with several years of teaching/supervising experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
- • We will also consider new OBGYN graduates with academic career interests.

About the USF Department of OB/GYN: The department has ACGME-approved fellowships in Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Its Research Division in Reproductive Science, and Gynecologic Oncology has well established and funded lines of basic/translational research.
