The Mount Sinai Department of Neurology is seeking enthusiastic applicants for an exciting opportunity in our Neuromuscular division.
This full-time faculty position based at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan will involve a combination of electromyography (EMG/NCS) testing in partnership with a technician, caring for outpatients with neuromuscular diseases and general neurological complaints. Our New York City based health system and Neurology Department facilitates high quality care for patients with a broad range of complex neurological diseases and neurological manifestations of systemic illness. This position offers a number of potential opportunities including collaboration with superb neurological, radiology and neurosurgical subspecialists, participation in and contribution to a robust QA/PI program, and engagement in education of trainees.
The successful candidate for this position will be appointed as an Assistant Professor (or higher commensurate with experience) in the Department of Neurology in the renowned Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Mount Sinai’s Department of Neurology is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care, embracing the mission of the Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrative approach to patient care, research, and education.
Responsibilities
The chosen candidate must have excellent clinical skills, neuromuscular or clinical neurophysiology (EMG track) fellowship training The successful candidate should strive to establish a track record of excellence in clinical care and foster a high level of teamwork with colleagues within our department, as well as across sites and services. The successful candidate has the opportunity to teach neurology residents and fellows, medicine and psychiatry trainees, as well as medical students from ISMMS during their Neurology clerkship rotation.
